dd-cards — Business Card Designer & Print Shop
A print shop for your city. Players walk up to the fabric ped, design a business card in a full canvas editor, pay for materials and labour, then come back later to collect a sealed box they can hand out one card at a time.
Every card is priced. Materials the player already carries are consumed from their inventory, anything they're short of is sold to them at a markup, and the shop charges its own labour fee on top.
The card designer
- Text, images and freehand drawing
- Six shapes — rectangle, circle, triangle, line, diamond and star
- Full colour control and layer ordering (send to back / bring to front)
- Undo, redo and reset
- Five save slots per player, with named designs
A real order flow
- Choose standard or glossy paper, optionally add gold foil, and set the quantity
- Live price breakdown — setup fee, printing, and which materials came from your own pockets versus the shop's
- Pay by cash or bank
- Rush processing for a surcharge on the labour
- Orders take real time to print — 20 minutes by default, 5 with rush — and the timer keeps running whether or not the player stays logged in
- Phone notification when the job is done
Cards you can actually give away
A finished order becomes a business_card_box. Using the box takes out a single business_card, and the design travels with it — so a player can hand their card to someone else, and that person can look at it.
Compatibility
- Framework: qbx_core (Qbox) or qb-core (QBCore)
- Inventory: ox_inventory or qb-inventory
- Required: ox_lib, oxmysql
- Targeting: ox_target, qb-target, ox_lib and qb-drawtext
- Menu: ox_lib context menu or qb-menu
- Phone: lb-phone, npwd or qb-phone — falls back to an on-screen notification
Framework and inventory are picked independently, so QBCore with ox_inventory is fully supported.
Escrow — and what stays open
The gameplay code is escrow protected, but all three config files, every bridge and types.lua are declared escrow_ignore and stay readable and editable after purchase. That means you can retune every price, fee, material and location — and point dd-cards at a framework, inventory, target, menu or phone it doesn't ship support for by copying the closest bridge file.
Documentation
Full setup, every config option with its default, the item definitions and a custom-bridge guide are published up front at docs.ddainusshaa.dev/dd-cards — readable before you buy.
